2025 was full of lessons, at least for me. Letting go, recognizing, reclaiming, and becoming—that’s how I’d summarize it. The many challenges I experienced stemmed from not recognizing old controlling patterns sneaking in.

At first I thought it was all a byproduct of the stresses every business owner faces as their ventures evolve and change. Then I realized that this was nothing new, that this evolution is ever present and it hadn’t disrupted my sleep, peace of mind, and health as it did most of 2025. That’s when I realized I had put my deep breathwork practice aside, and substituted it for shorter—or what I thought would be more efficient—routines. It had even deteriorated into a competition with myself as my focus shifted to beating my breath-hold record of seven minutes instead of bringing my attention to the present moment.

But life reminded me that there’s nothing more important than staying present and the price for neglecting this skill is the sleeplessness and anxiety that affects our health. Thus, I resumed my deeper breathwork practice and in only seven days it made a gigantic difference.

I would love to share with you a breathwork session to welcome the New Year. I have adapted it from the advance session I use for myself, so anyone with an understanding of the basics can benefit from it.

We will use a technique called stacking to help us reconnect with the joy that lives within us but gets overshadowed by the vicissitudes of life that hijack our attention. Stacking refers to adding and magnifying the joys from three different circumstances:

  • The Joy of the perfect Memory

  • The Joy of Accomplishment

  • The Joy of Surprises

It is all explained in the video. If you’re new to breathwork, I suggest you get acquainted with the basics. But if breathwork is familiar to you, then go ahead and proceed with the session after viewing the instructions. Please forgive the couple of hic-ups in the audio.

Wishing you an incredible New Year.
